About SLASH6970.COM

slash6970.com, About us: Exploring the intersection of code, design, and 3D printing. Three highlights: Digital Design, Additive Manufacturing, and Creative Experimentation. On the right, a 3D printer prints a white lattice sculpture in a dark blue workshop.

SLASH6970.COM explores the intersection of code, design, and 3D printing, from native iOS apps to physical prototypes.

Who we are

A small, hands-on studio with a workbench next to the keyboard.

SLASH6970.COM is a small studio that builds native iOS apps and software, and then keeps going when a project needs to leave the screen. The same people who write the Swift also sketch the flows, model the parts, and run the printers, so ideas don't get lost in hand-offs.

What drives us: the moment something goes from "what if" to "hold this" or "tap this." We like small teams, short feedback loops, and work that feels considered rather than templated.

How it connects: code gives a product its brains, design gives it a face, and fabrication gives it a body. An app that talks to a custom sensor enclosure, a printed stand for a kiosk, a quick physical mock-up to test how a device feels in hand. Those are the projects where the three meet, and where we have the most fun.

  • Craft over hype

Native code, sensible architecture, and details that hold up. We'd rather ship something solid than something buzzy.

  • Ship and iterate

Get a real build in your hands early, learn from it, and improve in small, visible steps.

  • Make it physical

When a screen isn't enough, we design and print the parts: prototypes, enclosures, fixtures, and one-offs.

What we build

Software with serious shine.

How we work

From idea to App Store, in four moves.

  1. 01

    Discover

We dig into the problem, the users, and what success looks like.

  2. 02

    Design

Flows, prototypes, and a look that makes people stop scrolling.

  3. 03

    Build

Clean native code, real devices, and progress you can test every week.

  4. 04

    Launch

App Store submission, release, and iteration based on real feedback.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

How does a project usually start?

With a short conversation about what you want to build, who it's for, and what "done" looks like. From there we suggest the smallest useful first version and a plan to get there.

How long does it take?

It depends on scope. Small prototypes and print jobs are often a matter of days to a few weeks; full apps take longer. We'll give you a realistic range after the first conversation and keep you updated with builds along the way.

What should I send to get started?

A few sentences on the idea, any sketches, screenshots, or reference apps you like, your rough timeline, and anything that already exists (designs, code, accounts). Rough is fine.

Can you print a part I already designed?

Yes. Send an STL, 3MF, or STEP file, plus the size, quantity, and what it's for. If it needs tweaks to print well, we'll suggest them before printing.

Do you only do iOS?

iOS is home base, but we also build the web pieces and backends around an app, and the physical parts when a project needs them.

Who owns the code and files?

You do. Source code, design files, and print files are handed over at the end of the project.

Got an app idea? Let's build it.
